Engine Guard

A very important tool for exploring the outback is a well protected 4wd. I just installed a new guard from outdoor auto on my car to replace the plastic splashguards which had been torn off in some mud. Now it's ready for just about anything the desert can throw at it.

Strong Man Competition

A country style strongman competition at the Mount Isa Show 2011. Competitors had to push a minivan, lift blocks of iron, carry drilling rigs, flip tyres and fill buckets of sand.

This is a newly reprocessed image taken back in March of 2010. I think you'll agree it has some nicer details than this image last year.

Saturn

The rings of Saturn are tilting into view again. This was taken last night, the air was not very still and the detail and colour is lost. This was comprised of a stack of about 2050 frames from a video file using Lynkeos image stacker.
