Cave 2 View

Tibro Face

Looking up to the face of Tibro from the bottom of the Boulder Problem. There are many climbs on this face, and a classic Trojan route through the middle.

Boulder Problem

Above Cave 5 and the scrub you come to this boulder problem as the crux on the Caves Route. It takes a couple tries, feel out the holds and find the foot holds and you're up. It's a great problem and not too challenging. The finish is out of the chimney and a scramble to the summit.

Cave 5 Panorama

Cave 4 Peek

A peek at Cave 4 around the corner from Cave 3. I did not attempt the traverse across to Cave 4 on this climb, the exposure made me have a second thought and wait till I had a rope with me for safety.

The relatively small Cave 3 out the north side of Cave 2. The assortment of caves on the Tibrogargan Caves Route is quite remarkable.

Cave 1

Anchor

The anchor just below the entrance to Cave 1 on the Caves Route. There were no clouds or threat of rain on my Sunday ascent of Mount Tibrogargan. The climb was completed after a 20 year intermission since my last ascent.

Bow

The beautiful lines of the bow of the centre console Waverider boat being built for me by Pat Jones in Nambour.

Stern

The stern of my new boat is coming together nicely. The reverse chine makes for a very soft ride in a light aluminium boat. The hull is becoming a boat.

Down Climb

A view to Mount Beerburrum from the East face of Tibrogargan. A shower was on the way north so I decided to down climb and leave the Caves Route for another day. Luckily I was just in time and there were showers a few minutes later as I was on the track to the Trailhead.
