Stony Creek

Stony Creek in the wet after some solid rains. The water is still high and more cloudy than normal due to the higher stream flow carrying sediments.

Bellthorpe State Forest

A causeway crossing near the start of the forestry track up from Stony Creek Day Use Area. The track is currently closed due to the wet weather and the creek is flowing vigorously.

Maroochydore Walk

On the canals behind the Sunshine Plaza you can find this boardwalk along the water's edge. It was a beautiful showerery afternoon on a strong La Nina oscillation.

A stowaway Golden Orb spider hitched a ride on the boat. Just for reference that pipe it is clinging to is 55mm in diameter.

Lake Monduran

The crowd at Lake Monduran north of Gin Gin was quite a surprise. There were approximately 50 cars with boats out on the water. The lake is stocked with Barramundi, so it is no wonder it is popular. Just remember to purchase a fishing permit first.
