Water Tank Lookout

I went to an Open Garden day at a garden in Cloncurry, 120 kilometres from the Isa. On the way into town there is this lookout.

New Road House

This is the new Richmond Roadhouse. As you can see, it's got the trappings of a modern era.

Road House

This is the old Richmond Roadhouse. Just up the road from the fossil turtle, this used to be a centre of activity.

Back in Richmond

I was back in Richmond again, this time for work. Although it was hardly real work. I got to go fossicking for fossils. We came across this fossil turtle shell in the rock.

Desert Scene

This is in the Lark Quarry Conservation Park. It is a wonderful desert.

The Evidence

Some of the footprints left behind. A large one and lots of small dinosaurs. Don't ask me their names, you will have to find that out for yourself.

A Long Time Ago In A Place Nearby

This is from Lark Quarry near Winton. If you drive a bit further down the Marine Fossil Byway on the Australian Dinosaur Trail from Richmond you will find this amazing place. It has preserved footprints of dinosaurs pressed into what was once soft mud. It is well worth a look if you're in the area.

Pony Club

No explanation needed. You go to the racetrack in Richmond and you will see this wonderful sight.

Kronosaurus Korner

This is a model of a Kronosaurus at the Richmond Kronosaurus Korner Museum. It would have been a scary sight to see one of these in real life.
