One of the original Fresnel lenses in the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Very clever lenses that save weight on glass thickness. These lenses are now covered to protect the surroundings from sunlight focus spots that had been starting fires like a giant magnifying glass. Replaced by a small electronic LED array.

Red Rover
Camped in the Red Rover just outside Barcaldine. A new internal red LED light installation helps to preserve night vision for camping and astronomy.
