Distant Whale

Whale (Distant)
Here in the west Pacific Ocean just off Mooloolaba we are lucky to see Humpback Whales migrate north and then south again after the calving season each year. If you look really, really closely you will just make out one whale taking a breath and diving again (just right of centre and very near the horizon). I clearly need a high zoom lens to catch these creatures from a distance of 300m.

Humpback Whales

Humpback Whales A shaky video of two humpback whales off the coast of Coolum just minding their own business. Apologies for the bumpy video, I need to get a gimbal stabilised camera to reduce the shake and rolling.
