Low Water Wathumba

When the tide recedes the creek looks very different to the idyllic aquamarine paradise of high water. However, it allows you to step right off your transom and walk ashore to explore.

Sandy Ride

One can even ride a bike on much of the sand flats. I even remember seeing land sailers back in the day, although it would have been a bit of a bumpy ride with all the stingray holes in places.

Low Tide

The low tide goes a long way out across the shallow sand banks on Tin Can Bay.

Mangrove

A beautiful mangrove stands alone in the sand at low tide on the fringes of Tin Can Bay.
