A large cockroach beetle was out on the track at Telstra Hill in the cool evening. It did not like being approached and raised its spiny tail in the air when I got closer for the shot. I gave it some room and walked on past.

The Hills

Back in Mount Isa after many weeks away for various reasons and I thought I needed an Outback photo to refresh my memory of home. So I went exploring in the hills south of town and took this shot of some hills blushing in the warm sunset.

Elk

On my way to the Eclipse near Shoshoni in Wyoming I visited the great Yellowstone National Park. This is a truly stunning park with a myriad of natural wonders. One of these is the wildlife. Here a shy Elk makes an appearance and scampers across the clearing for more cover amongst the trees.
