Rockhole Falls

New Year's Day brought another downpour, 144mm of rain. And this time I made long walk in the rain and mud to the rockholes. At the end of the rockholes of course the water falls of the edge of the Jump-Up. So I had to capture this one first thing in the morning while the rain was still falling to maintain the flow.

Lake Monduran Downpour

I also visited Lake Monduran just north of Gin Gin and it started to really bucket down. I didn't even try to leave the car it was so heavy. The poor boaties had just begun to head home with the rain when it clearly soaked them more than they had expected. It was definitely some much needed rain for the region.

Araucaria

These Pines are Araucaria bidwillii and Araucaria araucana left to right respectively. More commonly called the Bunya and Monkey Puzzle. They belong to the same Araucaria family as the Wollemi Pine.
