Rockhole Falls
New Year's Day brought another downpour, 144mm of rain. And this time I made long walk in the rain and mud to the rockholes. At the end of the rockholes of course the water falls of the edge of the Jump-Up. So I had to capture this one first thing in the morning while the rain was still falling to maintain the flow.

Big Dry
Usually this time of year in Mount Isa the dam is nearly filled or overflowing after a big monsoon wet season. This year the rains have not come yet and the dam is currently less than 65% capacity.

One thing Mount Isa has a surprisingly large amount of is green lawns. Water restrictions are minimal due to consistent monsoon wet seasons. Although this year was the driest January in Mount Isa for a number of years
