Cruising To DI Point

Cruising To Double Island Point
Unfortunately all good things come to an end, and it was time to leave the safety of the Lagoon for a visit to Double Island Point proper. Perfect weather for a quick cruise out, followed by a visit to Wolf Rock and returning in the Wide Bay Bar before the swell picked up.

Double Island Point

Double Island Point
Just south of Double Island Point I stopped for a photo and turned back to head home before the wind picked up too much more. In the end it was only about 20 knots and heading back to Mooloolaba with a tail wind was fairly smooth sailing.

The Start
All I need to do is cross this bit of sand and walk down to the end of the point you can see in the distance about 17km away. How hard could it be?
