One of my favourite photographic techniques is silhouette. With the sunsets visible on a low horizon it makes them very easy to find. This is from a lookout halfway between Boulia and Bedourie.

Keep Left
Among the sand dunes entering the Simpson desert near Bedourie on the way to Birdsville, you will find signs like this. They are very sensible reminders of how to keep safe.
