Quagmire

A boggy quagmire half a k north of Mount Dare Hotel. Almost made it, but the river at the trees was way too deep and boggier.

A quaggy bogmier just north of the Mount Dare Hotel. This was the beginning of a muddy section that went for around a kilometre. A few vehicles took on the mud and spun their wheels for hours to move a few hundred metres further toward their goal of crossing the Simpson Desert. We chose to turn around at this point and let the weather have its way.

Big Red Sand Dune
