Svalbard Land

Unfortunately I had to leave the arctic wilderness of Spitzbergen behind and make my way back to some warmer climes.  Scotland us positively balmy at 5 degrees.

Arctic Water

The arctic waters of Svalbard, 1300 kilometres from the North Pole. It is definitely cold up here. And a long way north. And an almost literal polar opposite to Mount Isa.

Aurora Borealis

An hour's drive northwest of Tromsø with greenfoxguiding we came to this quiet spot by the arctic sea and waited patiently in the cool wind for the magnetic sky show to begin. We were graced by a wonderful display.
