Lake Monduran

The crowd at Lake Monduran north of Gin Gin was quite a surprise. There were approximately 50 cars with boats out on the water. The lake is stocked with Barramundi, so it is no wonder it is popular. Just remember to purchase a fishing permit first.

I went to the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds to see the 4WD, Camping, Boating and Fishing Show. This was the first time I've been to the showgrounds in at least 15 years and I saw this cool sign and had to capture it.

This weekend is the annual Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic. Held every year on the last weekend of October this event brings a large crowd out to enjoy the lake and try their luck at bagging the tagged barra worth $25000.
