Kangaroo

This old kangaroo didn't really want to move from beside the road. He pondered if he should move for a while before I drove past and he hopped a little further from the raod's edge.

Matilda

A recent trip down memory lane took me to see the mascot from the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games, Matilda. Matilda now resides at a service station just south of Gympie. The last time I saw this big kangaroo was on TV when I was a little kid.

A return flight on the Dash-8 from Longreach back to Brisbane. QANTAS is still my favourite airline.

What's That Skip?

A kangaroo with joey cautiously looks around at the photographer to assess the threat level. The kangaroos at the Castle Rock Campground are quite content to graze away on a cool morning between the tents.

A friend told me about a cool sign they had seen near Cloncurry. I, of course, immediately wanted to get a photo of said sign.

Flying Kangaroo

I was out walking in the middle of nowhere and this flying kangaroo came past.  It definitely is the transport mode of choice in this big country.
