More Termites

The same termite mound as yesterday's post in silhouette. You'll notice the star trails are shorter. This is as long as I could get without any passing vehicle lights in the shot. It still makes for a nice shot but I prefer to see longer arcs.

Termite Trails

Star trails above a termite mound on the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory. Part of the foreground and termite mound has been lit by road train headlights and my headlamp. It was a cold and windy night to be sure.
