Mining Expo

Drying Up

Only weeks ago this was a torrent of water running from the overflow at Lake Moondarra. Now the water is drying up and only pools of dead water remain. Apparently there have been some small fresh water crocodiles found here, but none to be seen today.

Fishing

The overflow. The water level has fallen slightly and only small waves splash over the top now and then. If you look closely you will see a dead Barramundi that has been washed over the spillway.

Lake

The overflow at Lake Moondarra has stopped flowing and the road around the back of the lake is open again. From the top of this hill on the west side of the overflow you get a very nice view.

Tree

A beautiful small tree at the Three Steps rock formation.

Three Steps

The Three Steps, or Cascades just out of town on the way to the lake. This area is significant to the local Kalkadoon people, and a great place to visit.

Smile

A different perspective of this little town called Mount Isa.

Material Tributes

A place in town I've not visited till now. The Sunset Lawn Cemetery. An ominous cloud floats overhead, perhaps the rain will bring new life.

Moon

The moon as seen afocal through my telescope. A nice view any day of the week.
