At Rest

In the Kuridala cemetery there are many graves, both marked and unmarked. There is a visitor's book with stories of the causes of death. In a mining town in the 1900's there were of course many gruesome deaths.

Selfie

A group of tourists visit an old mining town and take the obligatory selfie.

Stack 1913

This elaborate stack at Kuridala was built in 1913 as it proudly states. And 101 years later it still stands.

Heritage

Only in the outback could you get heritage listing for a degraded mining waste site and a hole in the ground. I guess it means they don't have to clean anything up. A bit sad really.

Machinery

The machinery of mining. This is left over at the old town of Kuridala south of Cloncurry.
