God Defend New Zealand

It is amazing what you find if you go looking for nothing in particular. On this occasion I came across the grave of Thomas Bracken in the Dunedin Cemetery, the author of the words for New Zealand's national anthem.

Lochern National Park

The entrance to Lochern National Park, which is next to a grave site and the crossing of the Thomson River.

At Rest

In the Kuridala cemetery there are many graves, both marked and unmarked. There is a visitor's book with stories of the causes of death. In a mining town in the 1900's there were of course many gruesome deaths.

Resting

A headstone on a grave in the middle of near as no where. I was surprised to see such a recent burial site in an abandoned mining town.
