South Celestial Shot

The Southern Cross and Pointers with the Large Magellanic Cloud. The Small Magellanic Cloud is hidden on the horizon in the glow of the ever growing suburbs of Brisbane. The head of The Emu is also visible (aka the dark Coalsack nebula).

Glen Helen Stars

Glen Helen Gorge under the stars of the Southern Cross. I got this photo on a recent holiday to the Northern Territory's 'Red Centre'. The cliff walls were wonderfully lit by a gibbous moon.
