A Long Time Ago In A Place Nearby
This is from Lark Quarry near Winton. If you drive a bit further down the Marine Fossil Byway on the Australian Dinosaur Trail from Richmond you will find this amazing place. It has preserved footprints of dinosaurs pressed into what was once soft mud. It is well worth a look if you're in the area.

Kronosaurus Korner

Royal Flying Doctor Service
The Royal Flying Doctor Service had their open day yesterday at Mount Isa Airport. I went along to see the plane and their hanger. The RFDS has been saving lives in Queensland for 80 years. You can see the plane tomorrow.

The Moonrocks
These are the moonrocks. The winner threw the 26 kilogram lump of stone a whopping 5.5 metres to win the new world record.

Moonrock Throwing Championship
Here is an entrant in the Moonroock Throwing Championship doing his stuff. The rocks are spherical and unusual, hence the name moonrock. However they do not come from the moon.

Camping at the caravan park in Richmond. The Labour day long weekend was the biennial Richmond Fossil Festival. The festivities brought many people to town, you'll see some of the action tomorrow.

Wycliffe Well
Some towns will do almost anything to make them standout from the crowd. The town of Wycliffe Well lays claim to being the UFO capital of Australia. They made these little green men to attract visitors. Numerous unidentified visitors drop by every day.
