Whale One whale watching vessel heads out of Mooloolah River on a tour. They should have had a good view as a few breaches could be seen from some playful whales in the distance.

Alexandria Bay at Noosa Heads National Park. It really is the quiet spot away from the crowds in Noosa. Unfortunately my favourite walk to the headland at Hell's Gates is currently closed for maintenance.

Matilda

A recent trip down memory lane took me to see the mascot from the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games, Matilda. Matilda now resides at a service station just south of Gympie. The last time I saw this big kangaroo was on TV when I was a little kid.
