Old Navigation Tower

Old Navigation Tower Looking out to see you can make out the reamins of an old navigation tower. The only thing left are the foundation piles that were driven into the sand to stabilise it. Erosion over the last 30 years has brought this tower to the beach front, when it was originally in the middle of the island.

New Bribie Bar

Bribie Bar The new Bribie Bar, or South Caloundra Bar as seen from inside Pumicestone Passage. It is unfamiliar to be able to see the headland and ocean from the passage. There are many trees also spread around inside the passage now creating a boating hazard, so be careful in the changing currents and sandbars in the area.

Bribie Forts

Bribie Forts Near the northern tip of Bribie Island are the last remains of old World War 2 fortifications. This one is slowly being swalloed by the sea and denotes the most northern beach access point for 4wd vehicles.
