Deep Gully Falls

Happy New Year!
And what a wet start it has been, 144mm of rain in 24 hours on the Jump-Up. So with a day off I decided to go chasing waterfalls. This was number one, the falls running down Deep Gully.

Ancient Rock Pillars

These ancient pillars of cap rock on the edge of the Jump-Up at the AAOD Museum of Natural History are very old. And despite their appearance, are completely unsuitable for climbing due to their crumbly, fragmenting nature.

Reception View

Along the Deep Gully Track you will get a view back to the Reception building.

Deep Gully Track

The Deep Gully Walking Track at the AAOD Museum of Natural History is a great way to see a little more of the local scenery. But be careful, it is a rough track with lots of loose crumbly rock.
