Noel Pearson, Woodford

Noel Pearson Woodford We heard a talk by Nole Pearson about the Indigenous Voice to Parliament and the Constitution at the Woodford Folk Festival. Among the many wise things he said, "People who leave their problems to their grandchildren are not leaders." If you're an Australian Citizen and eligible to vote, get yourself down to vote Yes to the referendum next year in 2023, it's a no-brainer. The original inhabitants of any land should have a legislated voice in the governing body of their country.

Zeitgeist Tibrogargan

Zeitgeist, 3 Pitches (17,12,15)
A good friend took me up Zeitgest on Mount Tibrogargan. It's been a long while since I've climbed outdoors and my endurance was lacking, so I seconded the 3 pitches. It is a spectacular climb with the first crux on pitch 1 rated at 17. A few tricky moves here caused me to take a couple rests before solving it. The remainder was pretty straight forward and rewarding to arrive on top of Cave 1 on the east face. This was looking up the first pitch from anchor 1.

Donnybrook

Doonybrook Departure My first trip to Donnybrook with the boat. It was a great spot. Take care, we saw a few dugong just up from the ramp and paused to watch, unfortunately could not get a photo as the water was dark and they surface so briefly.

An orchid grwoing in a Moreton Bay Fig Tree. My mother attached this orchid to the tree many years ago and it has been slowly taking hold. This year was the largest bloom I have seen, most likely from the long wet seasons due to consecutive La Nina episodes.

Green And Blue

Blue And Green I took a quick trip up to Wathumba Creek further north along the K'gari west coast. The last time I visited here was in the 1980s when my parents owned a small runabout and took au all camping. It was very special to return again after so long in my own boat, especially on a high tide when the water is so turquoise.
