Three Sisters of Stone

I drove through Katoomba on my way to Sydney and saw this classic Australian icon, The Three Sisters named Meeni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo.

Dubbo

I visited Dubbo in central New South Wales and went for a walk along the Macquarie River. On the right you will notice some sand, that is Sandy Beach.

Gateway Duplication

The Gateway Bridge over the Brisbane River is being copied and placed about 20m to the east (left).

Ship

If you take a drive down to Pinkenba on the north side of the Brisbane River you will find lots of industrial sites and ship loading facilities.

Beach Bench

If you take a walk between Kings Beach and Happy Valley at Caloundra you will find this wonderful bench seat.

Glasshouse Sunset

A spectacular sunset over Mount Beerwah.

Trail Closed

The best walking track in the Glasshouse Mountains, up Mount Beerwah, is now closed. One would have thought that falling rocks were a danger that one takes upon oneself when venturing into the wild outdoors.

Baroon Pocket Dam

At this dam in the Sunshine Coast hinterland you will find that fossil fuelled vehicles are not permitted on the water. A sign of things to come.

Bora Ring

If you take a drive from the Wild Horse lookout and cross the highway you will come to a sign that points to this Aboriginal site. A Bora, also called a Durn, is a place of meeting for ceremony and discussion.

Wild Horse Lookout

The lookout and fire tower on top of Wild Horse Mountain also doubles as a mobile phone tower.

Glasshouse Mountains

Caloundra
