SpaceX Dragon Launch

The SpaceX Dragon capsule carried two astronauts to space. Fittingly it was atop a fire breathing rocket. Quite an amazing achievement.

Comet Swan May 4

Comet Swan May 4th

May the fourth be with you Comet Swan, C/2020 F8. The wave in the tail indicates that there has been some extra dust ejected and most likely that the comet has just broken up a little as it warms up near the sun. Image taken with Tamron lens at 200mm, f3.2, Canon 60D (unmodified) 1600iso and 60 x 10s subs.

Comet Swan C/2020 F8

Comet Swan C:2020 F8

A morning comet in the sky before dawn. This is Comet C/2020 F8, recently discovered and currently brightening up as it approaches the Sun. This might be bright enough to see without binoculars in the coming weeks. I particularly like the green coma and tail of this comet.
