This amazing building is the central railway station in Milan. I caught this train down to Florence and transferred on to Pontedera.

Duomo di Milano II

IMG_3096

Inside the wonderful cathedral. I was lucky enough to be there for a Sunday morning mass. Although as a tourist I could not sit in the mass, I was able to hear the wonderful voices and music. This photo does not do the scale of the cathedral justice. You must see it to believe it.

Power Generators

A line of wind turbines in the sea near Copenhagen airport, Denmark. I never got to set foot outside the airport here while transferring flights, but I did see a few things through the windows, like this.

Hotel in Giethoorn

IMG_2980

I had a delicious apple crumble and orange juice at a famous pub/cafe in Giethoorn. Apparently it is famous for a movie called Fanfare that was recorded here about a music competition.

Venice of Holland

IMG_2973

This is in Geithoorn, Holland, also called the Venice of Holland for its canals. Apparently all the houses here are privately owned and if you live here it's like living in a museum. It was a beautiful place and if I had the time it would be worth taking a row around in a canoe.

The watermill restaurant in Velp, Holland. This was a very nice restaurant near our bed and breakfast in the town of Velp, close to Arnhem in the Netherlands.

Big Trip

En Route to Copenhagen

I recently went on a big trip overseas. This was my first trip to Europe. Here is the view out the window heading into Copenhagen.
