Aurora Spikes

Aurora Singing

Spikes of green and red can be seen in this shot of the Aurora Borealis. The light is so magical and enchanting as it dances across the sky. Here is a link to a documentary by a local photographer Ole Salomonsen on the aurora. http://tv.nrk.no/serie/jakten-paa-nordlyset Not sure how long it will be available online, but well worth a look to see some amazing footage.

Comet ISON-Zoom

With a little help from my star app SkySafari and a digital zoom, I was able to locate comet ISON in this image at the bottom left corner of the zoom box. It really is there, just very tiny and faint. This was taken at approximately 4:30am Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
