Clover Hills Rainbows

The best mailbox between Brisbane and anywhere (in my limited opinion). And on this day there was a perfect set up with a rainbow, in fact three rainbows if you look closely (inside and outside the main bow). Hard to beat that.

A classic stop between Brisbane and Winton. The Longreach QANTAS Founders Museum is always worth a stop for a photo or a snack.

Ooline Forest

I finally stopped in at the Ooline Forest Park to find out about the Ooline Tree. The Cadelila pentastylis dates from the time of Australia's megafauna around 1.8 million year ago. It has no known living relatives.

Tiny Nights

I recently moved from the Sunshine Coast to the desert in Winton to live under some dark skies and work at the Australian Age Of Dinosaurs Museam. This was a quick capture on the first clear night. Tiny living has its advantages.

Badger Beach

At the mouth of the Tamar River north of Launceston is a place called Greens Beach. Just around the corner from Greens Beach in the Narawntapu National Park is Badger Beach. A place well worth the walk to visit.

Curious Crystals

Zeolite crystals grow on one of the rocks along the loop walk around Cataract Gorge. I'll leave it to you to find them. They are pretty cool and unique.

Zig-Zag Walk

I can recommend the Zig-Zag Walk from Kings Bridge up to Cataract Gorge and Back vie the northern path. It brings you some wonderful views of the gorge such as this, great exercise and takes you past some sweet climbing crags.
