New Sign

A brand new sign on the entry to Mount Isa. The concrete was only just curing as I came back from a trip and saw the new sign. A reminder of some of the heritage of the area around here that is often overlooked.

That's Not A Road Train...

This is a road train. Fifty-three point five metres long. You need over half a kilometre of clear road to overtake these things.

Water Monitor

This a Merten's Water Monitor. If you look closely you will notice it's outer skin is sloughing off. It was dragging it's front legs on the rock in an attempt to remove more of the dead skin.
