Lake Julius
This is the view over Lake Julius from the lookout. It's a damn impressive dam.
This is about a three hour drive from Mt Isa on a fairly rough dirt road. It is a well maintained road but requires low speeds, and the last section is impassable to on-road vehicles. If you don't have a 4wd you'll need to walk the last 3 or 4km because the dry river bed crossing is smooth loose stones. Only a dry season road.

Great photo! May I use the photo in an educational document for school kids?
Yep sure, no worries. You can tell the students a physics teacher in Mount Isa took the photo too if you like.
