Orion
The easily recognisable constellation of Orion the hunter. Even from my front yard the sky was dark enough to take this photo - untracked. If you look closely you will see the slight star trails. This is a 15 second exposure.

Have you noticed that Orion, which looks a bit like an arrow, points to the north? Along with the Crux its hard to get lost at night!
No I never noticed, but now you mention it, it is obvious.
