I went searching for Battle Mountain and found it. This is the site of the battle in 1884 that destroyed the Kalkadoon resistance near Mount Isa. In an often repeated story in history, rocks and spears are no match for bullets.

Not too hard. If you look on a map it is called Mount Remarkable. It's about 20k south of Kajabbi on the old Kajabbi road. If you want more details let me know.
